Thanks for sharing this. I want to quote your words back to you because I think these elements are keys to a successful marriage: embracing each other's differences, compromise and open communication. Just perfect Georgeann.
"Through it all, we often marveled at how our differences have melded into a beautiful tapestry of love and understanding. Each of us brought unique strengths, perspectives, and quirks to the relationship, and rather than allowing these differences to create division, we embraced them as opportunities for growth. Through the art of compromise and open communication we learned to celebrate our individuality while worked toward a shared vision for our life together."
Congratulations to you and your husband, GeorgeAnn! There is much to be said for being faithful to each other and the Lord when faced with these sorts of trials. Faith makes a strong cord when woven in the right way. ❤️
Oddly enough I know another couple married on the exact same day you were. They were our neighbors when I was young and we reconnected a few years ago on social media, which is where I found out today is their 54th as well.
That's a lot to comprehend for someone like me who took a lot longer to find the right one.
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” ’”
Congratulations, GeorgeAnn. That is a true testimony to what marriage can be and what it takes to have it survive. Thank you for sharing.
You are welcome. Thanks for reading.
